Breasts, ribs, sternum are all covered with the very flexible, yet very strong (virtually unbreakable) polyethylene guard. Held firmly in place with especially designed cover with two front panels made of Hi Tech, two way stretch Tactel*. This fabric allows movement of moisture, to speed evaporation, which is the body's natural cooling method. (If a bra is worn under the MaxiGuard, we recommend it be of a synthetic fabric type for the same reason.)

Add confidence when competing in Soccer, Fencing, Karate, Boxing, Tae Kwondo, Cricket etc. - in fact any sport where contact with another competitor or bat/ball is possible. No heavy padding needed with MaxiGuard as the guard is a neat and "correct" fit on the body.

The MaxiGuard cover has plenty of stretch so the cover is fitted first, then the guard is inserted between the front layers of fabric, and removed after competition or training, to further aid cooling.

Correct fit of the MaxiGuard is important. To select correct guard size refer to size chart. Measure chest size under bust. Cup size should be the same as your standard bra. If in doubt try one cup size down.

Select the correct cover from the chart. We strongly recommend that if a bra is worn under the cover then it be only of the thin synthetic textile type so that it does not absorb moisture, but allows the moisture to move and evaporate.

First you have to remember that this is only the bra like holder for the Maxi Guard women's chest protector. I was very happy to so that Epic Sports carried the crop top and the chest guard seperately since the chest guard doesn't wear out or change, but the crop top does get stretched out, after many, many uses. The whole chest guard set is somewhat expensive and I didn't want to spend all that money to get the entire set just because my crop top had started to get "baggy". So for me this was perfect. The product is exactly what comes with the Maxi Guard set, right down to the logo - it's not a cheap imitation. It fits the insert perfectly as long as you get the correct size. Don't expect a "Large" insert to fit into a "Medium" crop top, the tops fit the inserts pretty snuggly. I do highly recommend the Maxi guard insert and crop top for karate. Some of the "guys" at the school are trying to hit so hard that the Maxi chest guard will break. So far they haven't had any luck breaking it, only bending one of the cups, which popped right out later.
