This Elementary-sized basketball is the perfect ball for 2nd graders and under or 3rd grade girls. Because the ball is size appropriate for the child's hand size, it is easier to teach proper shooting technique. For example, with a larger ball, "off-hand interference" is one of the most common and bad habits young players develop. This ball allows the younger player to shoot with his dominant hand and use his off-hand to guild the ball, not "push it or thumb it."
