I chose this for Florida weather - hot, skin damaging rays, and chilly winds. This is pretty good. It is only one layer thin, so not so much insulation, and will stop the wind. On the other hand, it doesn't breath at all, so if it is too hot, you will notice sweat wherever you don't have cotton on underneath. The zippers are easily used, seem to be durable and of high quality, and the mechanism to keep the string drawn waist adjustment is strong enough to keep the string from slipping, so that the waist stays in the correct size. I bought white color, and it is not too thin to where you can see everything you are wearing underneath it.
